Roof Racks

Which roof rack is best for your vehicle? All cars have different roof lines, so it is important you choose the rack that best suits your needs and your car roof.

SURFACE MOUNTS

All surface mounts attach to your vehicle’s roof without any drilling and they are fully detachable. They rest on the roof surface by means of a rubber pad contoured to your vehicle’s roof shape with a specially designed strap or bolt, fixing it to the roof’s edge. Well suited for recreational uses.

TRACK OR FIXED

Track or fixed mounted roof racks are designed for cars, vans and wagons, which have a difficult roof edging. They are sometimes fastened by roof drilling and the crossbars are fully detachable. These systems can be used for heavy-duty use or for normal use.

RAIL BARS

Rail bars are only suited to motor vehicles that are manufactured with roof rails. These rails run from front to rear of the roof. Rail bar kits attach to the rails and carry across the vehicle, however their strength is limited by the manufacturers’ load rating – check your handbook or your vehicle dealer.

FIXED POINT

Fixed-point load carriers are for vehicles with specifically constructed mounting points in the body frame from the manufacturer. Roof racks are available in different styles to suit recreational or heavy-duty use.
